Availability of courses

The little English School will make every effort to provide the courses on the dates advertised.

The little English School reserves the right to cancel any summer course for which student enrolement figuresfall below the minimum viable level. in such cases, notice will be given on or before 12 May 2008.

If any facility provided by the host is deemed to be temporarily unavailable, The Little english school will make every reasonable effort to provide an appropriate alternative. No refund of course fees can be made in such circumstances.

Cancellation terms and conditions

All cancellations must be made in writing and take effect from the date we receive such notice.

If a child fails to attend or a place is cancelled 14 days or less before the start of the course there will be no refund of fees.

A full refund of fees, less the deposit, will be given if cancellation is made more than 14 days before the start of the course. The deposit is refundable (less 15% administration fee) only for certified illness or injury.

Liability and Insurance

Whilst The little English Schoolwill operate the course in such a way as to provide high levels of supervision, no liability can be accepted for any accident or misadventure which befalls the student.

It is a requirement of course membership that an appropriate holiday insurance policy is held. It is particularily important that medical expenses are covered by the policy. The Little English School can assist on request.

Please note that The Little English School can accept no liability in respect of any items lost by or taken from the student.

Expectations of student

Students must attend all lessons, and all meals, and are expected to participate in the extra-curricular activites.

Rules concerning access to accomodation must be observed.

Male students are not allowed to access female student's rooms; female students are not allowed to access male student's rooms. All students must be in their rooms between 10.30pm and 07.45am.

Students must comply with any regulatuions designed to assure their safety, including stipulations on leaving the school grounds, and fire regulations.

The Little English School reserves the right to sent away

from the course any student who does not comply with these rules. Any travel expenses thus incurred must be paid by the parent or person responible. Fees will not be refunded.

Activities and free time policy

We recognise that many students enjoy visiting Broadstairs town centre. On certain afternoons we allow students to go to the town centre, provided they have their parents' permission to do so. Older students (14 and above) may travel in groups of three or more. Younger students may not go to the town centre except when accompanied by an adult.

On excursions, there is normally a short period of free time during which students may in small groups, explore the area and go shopping if they wish. Students aged 13 and below are supervised throughout this time by a member of staff.

Miscellaneous

It is the responsibility of the students and their parents to ensure they are in possession of the apropriate documentation and passport. Replacement or repair of any damage caused by a student, including accidentally, must be paid on presentation of the bill. The Little English School must be informed of any medical conditions or dietary requirements.

Students are expected to leave their money and valuables in the school safe. They can have access to them daily.

Students are expected to behave sensibly and reasonably at all times, and to show proper concideration for other people.
